Mindanao is now in the “front and center” of the government’s infrastructure build up under the Duterte administration’s Build, Build, Build program. With the recent high demand of operators in the area particularly Davao City, contractors experienced the shortage of operators. Davao Operator’s Development Program is a project that aims to produce competent heavy equipment operators through trainings and development. Last February 23, 2018, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed together with Engr. Nestor Tabada, Provincial Director of Technical Education And Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Engr. Alejandro Adaptar, President of Davao Rock Training Academy, Mr. Jose Antonio Banson, President of Monark Foundation, Inc. And Ms. Faye Pangilinan Jayno, President of ACEL Davao Chapter at El Gato Cafe, Rancho Palos Verdes, Maa, Davao City. This is a milestone for ACEL Davao Chapter, that wants to have a pool of well trained, skilled operators that will support tomorrow’s workforce. And will help address the requirement of the construction industry.
