PASIG CITY, Philippines, October 30, 2025: The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), Inc., held its fourth and last general membership meeting of the year at the Discovery Suites Manila, Pasig City, focusing on practical HR and labor law essentials for employers.

The carefully curated topic, “Employer’s Toolkit: Practical HR and Labor Law Essentials,” permeated every aspect of the HR Code for employers, fulfilling its promise: providing basic and essential knowledge for every employer on how to handle and manage their employees.
The call to order by ACEL President, Ms. Abigail S. Mancilla, started the GMM, setting the stage for a night full of excitement, fun, and information.
In this informative event, the GMM serves as a platform for each sponsor to showcase their products to all attendees. That night, LTE Concrete Solutions Inc. and Zoomlion Heavy Industry Phils., took the spotlight with their respective presentations.
LTE Concrete Solutions Inc. delivered their audiovisual presentation, highlighting their range of SANY products, while Zoomlion Heavy Industry Phils., used the opportunity to present their product in a 5-minute in-person session led by their country manager, Mr. Felix Xu.
Moving on, the main highlight of the night was the plenary talk by the guest speaker, Mr. Timothy Joseph “TJ” Malana, with his topic “Employers Toolkit: Practical HR and Labor Law Essentials.”
Malana begins his plenary session by asking questions about HR in every organization, whether they are pro-employer or pro-employee, and what their correct stance should be. As the discussion progresses, he shares real-life experiences from his clients’ struggles and how they overcame them, as well as the do’s and don’ts for HR legalities and conflicts that may arise in various situations.
Aside from the plenary session, another highlight of the event was the President’s Report by Ms. Abigail S. Mancilla,
the current president for 2025-2026. Mancilla expressed gratitude for everyone’s support for various ACEL projects, from the highly successful ACEL 20th Badminton Tournament to the first ACEL-PCA Seminar of the year, titled “The Safety in Gondola Operation.” She also thanked everyone who supported the CSR Donation Drive for the victims of the Cebu earthquake and encouraged participation in another CSR Donation Drive for the recent earthquake victims in Davao City.
Mancilla also announced upcoming activities of the association for the last quarter of the year.
