IPM Construction and Development Corporation emerged as the biggest winner of the ACEL 17th Badminton Tournament as it topped two of the event’s three divisions.
Held on October 8, 2022 at The Upper Deck Sports Center in Pasig City, the tournament attracted 32 players from seven Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL) member-companies who were all eager to be part of the first sports event the Association organized since the COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdown was imposed in March 2020.
In the Class A division, the IPM Construction’s duo of Jimcel Ray Sajonia and Julius Pamintuan brought home the champion’s trophy. The First Philippines Skills and Equipment Testing Corporation’s team made up of Nat Delos Santos and Mhy Jimenez took first runner-up honors.
Represented by RollyCapati and Mardy Regalado, IPM Construction also won the Class B division championship. Settling for first runner-up was the Monark Equipment Corporation’s tandem of Rey Godoy and John Neil de Leon.

Meanwhile, the first runner-up trophy went to the Civic Merchandising Inc. team of JP Ladea and Julius Bueza.
