The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL) will conduct three technical seminars at Philconstruct Mindanao which will be held in Davao City on September 8-10, 2022. These seminars, more popularly known as technoforums, have become regular features of Philconstruct events, a yearly series of construction industry expos organized by the Philippine Contractors Association (PCA) with ACEL as a co-sponsor.
The third leg of this year’s expo series, Philconstruct Mindanao will be held at the SMX Convention Center Davao located on J.P. Laurel Avenue, Lanang, Davao City. The convention center’s Meeting Room 4 will be the venue of all three ACEL technoforums.
On September 8, Philconstruct Mindanao’s opening day, the Association, in partnership with Benedicto Steel Corporation, is offering a seminar on “The Fundamentals of Rigging.” To be conducted by Clemente Rey Dorosan, product trainer of the Crosby Group, this technoforum will run from 8 AM to 12 noon. The following day, September 9, ACEL will conduct a session on “Basic Formworks Design and Calculation” with Romeo I. Sevillo Jr., design engineering manager of RMD Kwikform Phils. A technoforum on the “Essentials of Supervisory Leadership” is ACEL’s offering on September 10, Philconstruct Mindanao’s last day. To be conducted by Louie I. Galicia, assistant vice president for human resource management of EEI Corporation, this seminar will run from 10 AM to 5 PM. The Association, in partnership with the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF), one of the implementing boards of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), is working to have Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points awarded to civil and mechanical engineers who will attend these technoforums.
