The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL) is conducting two technical seminars at Philconstruct Visayas that will be held in Cebu City on July 21-23, 2022. These seminars, better known as technoforums, have become regular features of Philconstruct events, a yearly series of construction industry expos organized by the Philippine Contractors Association (PCA) with ACEL as a co-sponsor.
On July 22, Philconstruct Visayas’ second day, the Association will offer a technofum on “Basic Formworks Design and Calculation.” Scheduled to run from 9 AM to 1 PM, this will be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug City, Cebu. A hybrid session, participants can attend this event on-site or online. On July 23, ACEL will conduct a technoforum on the “Essentials of Supervisory Leadership.” To be held at the Caspian Room of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, this will run from 9 AM to 5 PM. Also a hybrid session, participants can attend this online. ACEL, working in partnership with the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), was able to have continuing professional development (CPD) points awarded to mechanical and civil engineers who will attend these technoforums.
Civil engineers who will attend the “Basic Formworks Design and Calculation” session will earn two CPD points. Mechanical engineers attending the “Essentials of Supervisory Leadership” technoforum will gain six CPD points, while participating civil engineers will earn five CPD points.
