The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL) was finally able to successfully hold its fourth Virtual General Membership Meeting (VGMM) for 2020, which has as the main item on its agenda the election of the Association’s directors for 2021. Originally scheduled for November 13, 2020, the meeting was cancelled because of Typhoon Ulysses.
Rescheduled to November 27, 2020, the event, the last general membership meeting for the year, was held via the Zoom online platform. The election, the meeting’s highlight, was conducted by a Comelec Committee made up of three past ACEL presidents. And since there were only 11 nominees, the exact number of the seats in the Association’s Board of Directors, all the nominees were automatically deemed elected.
