Batangas, Philippines, November 7, 2024: The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), Inc. in partnership with Monark Foundation and Monark Equipment Corporation via the #TropicalKRISTINE Call for Donation Program made 300 packs of relief goods that were distributed to the affected families in Brgy. Sampaloc.
It is part of ACEL’s mantra, to provide support to our Filipino brothers and sisters, especially those who are in need of help, through Monark Foundation, ACEL conducted its donation drive in Brgy. Sampaloc, Talisay, Batangas which was hit by Typhoon Kristine last October.
Each relief goods distributed contained basic commodities, such as rice, canned goods, and noodles, among others. The association hopes that this simple act will bring hope to the affected families and address the current situation in the affected barangay.
The Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (or with its international name, Typhoon Trami) caused massive damage in the Batangas area—where Brgy. Sampaloc in Talisay is a part. Also, according to the Presidential Communications Office, or PCO, Batangas reported the highest number of fatalities, with 61 lives lost, at least 20 of whom were from Talisay.
