CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES, June 21, 2025—In partnership with the Construction Manpower Development Foundation, the Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), Inc., successfully held two ACEL TechnoForum Seminars at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, Lahug, Cebu City, for PhilConstruct Visayas 2025.
The ACEL TechnoForum Seminar for PhilConstruct Visayas 2025 attracted over 100 attendees, including 55 participants for the Heavy Equipment Safety Operation and Basic Maintenance Seminar and 60 participants for the Leadership Challenge: Worksite Supervision Seminar.
ACEL Chairman for PhilConstruct, Mr. Arlan P. Vergara, opened both seminars with welcoming remarks for all the attendees. In his plenary talk, Vergara also reiterated the importance of continuing education and how it can help participants upgrade their knowledge and skills.
Day one covered the Heavy Equipment Safety Operation and Basic Maintenance Seminar, which highlighted the importance of safety practices in heavy equipment and their impact on everyone’s workplace. This one-day learning session is facilitated by TESDA’s Accredited Assessor and Trainer, Mr. Paulo P. Ortiz.
Additionally, Ortiz also shared some safety tips and advice in his plenary talk, expanding every topic with a cause-and-effect relationship, which made the whole subject easily understandable.
Moving on, day two of the ACEL TechnoForum Seminar focuses on effective people management and how to become a successful supervisor or leader among your subordinates. This one-day learning session was facilitated by Chery Auto Philippines and United Asia Automotive Group, Inc., Deputy Director Mr. Paul Nikko Sayson.
Also, this seminar explores the theoretical and practical studies on how to manage people effectively. Sayson also shares insights about the topic and how to develop better solutions, supported by his real-life experiences.
Overall, this year’s ACEL TechnoForum Seminar for PhilConstruct Visayas was successful, as the two learning sessions got positive reviews from their attendees.
