the DPWH, as well as the constructors and suppliers who participate

ACEL EQUIPMENT GUIDEBOOK
: THE BIBLE OF THE HEAVY EQUIPMENT INDUSTRY
In 1966 the Associated
Construction Equipment Lessors, Inc. (ACEL) was incorporated
to provide some solutions to the problems that beset
the construction industry at that time. ACEL introduced
the system of equipment leasing which is accepted as
the best possible alternative to acquiring heavy equipment
for immediate use, where outright purchase may not be
possible because of the huge capital outlay involved.
TESDA
AND ACEL : A PARTNERSHIP FOR DEVELOPMENT AND UPGRADING
OF MANPOWER RESOURCES
As
part of its continuing program for the development and
upgrading of competency of the nation's manpower
resources, the Association of Carriers and Equipment
Lessors, Inc. and the Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA) have signed the Memorandum
of Agreement (MOA) that would give ACEL the sole responsibility
of implementing a nationwide and unified system of occupational
skills assessment and certification in the heavy equipment
subsector of the construction industry.
The past months have been very busy months for ACEL. Various activities have
been held simultaneously and these would include the conduct of
trainings/seminars, sports activities as well as the very successful staging of
the 2nd Philconstruct Mindanao Technoforum in Davao and Philconstruct Visayas
Technoforum in Cebu.
