PAMPANGA, PHILIPPINES, April 07, 2025 —The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), Inc., successfully held the five ACEL TechnoForum Seminars at the SMX Convention Center in Clark, Pampanga, for PhilConstruct Luzon 2025.
Attracting over a hundred attendees, the seminars from the HIRAC, Fundamentals and Principles in Asphalt Paving seminar, Tie Down and Load Securement seminar, Heavy Equipment Safety Operation and Basic Maintenance seminar, and Leadership Challenge: Worksite Supervision seminar make the ACEL TechnoForum Seminar in PhilConstruct Luzon 2025 a highly successful.
Day 1 covered three topics, beginning with the Fundamentals and Principles in Asphalt Paving Seminar. This seminar addresses paving and related concerns, including proper setup, machine selection, and quality paving techniques. It is a half-day session that lasts until noon.
The second seminar is a whole-day session that revolves around hazard identification, risk assessment, and control fundamentals, which cover safety regulations and their benefits in the workplace. The attendees also have a workshop experience for practical learning.
Later that afternoon, the Tie Down and Load Securement Seminar began, which covers the application and calculations of tie-down and load securement with an equipment inspection takeaway as part of the course outline.
The first batch of the ACEL TechnoForum Seminars featured high-level resource speakers: Monark Equipment Corporation’s Specialist for Paving and Technology, Mr. Jonathan Rommer Pagaduan, for the Fundamentals and Principles in Asphalt Paving Seminar; DOLE’s Accredited OSH Consultant, Engr. Ernie S. Villaroman for the HIRAC Seminar and Regional Sales Manager for Kito Crosby, and Mr. Clemente Rey Dorosan for the Tie Down and Load Securement Seminar.
The attendees easily delved into the above-mentioned topics thanks to the resource speakers’ enlightening insights and experience, which made the learning session well-studied and well-absorbed.
Day 2 began with opening remarks where ACEL’s Chairman of the Committee on PhilConstruct, Mr. Arlan P. Vergara, welcomed everyone and set the room for some discussions on how these topics will benefit the attendees and their workplace.
Moving on, the seminars showcase the importance of heavy equipment safety operation and the effect of proper leadership on one’s organization.
TESDA’s accredited assessor and trainer, Mr. Paulo P. Ortiz, facilitated the Heavy Equipment Safety Operation and Basic Maintenance Seminar, which covers its components and functions as well as the preventive maintenance scheduling and environmental and regulatory compliance.
The Deputy Director for Chery Auto Philippines and United Asia Automotive Group, Inc., Mr. Paul Nikko Sayson, handled the Leadership Challenge: Worksite Supervision Seminar, which focuses on empowering the attendees with the proper and correct leadership style that they can apply to their workplace.
Overall, this year’s ACEL TechnoForum Seminar was successful, as all of the learning sessions got positive reviews from its attendees.
