DAVAO CITY, Philippines, September 06–07, 2024: The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), Inc., and in partnership with the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF), conducted three (3) industry-supported programs for PhilConstruct Mindanao 2024.
A central focus on the industry-supported programs—Extensive Rigging Seminar, Equipment Maintenance Management Seminar, and Essentials of Supervisory Leadership Seminar—was conducted by ACEL and CMDF, which provided new insights and knowledge towards the current trends and applications that every attendee can apply to his/her workplace.
The “Extensive Rigging Seminar” is an upgraded learning from its predecessor, “Fundamentals of Rigging Seminar,” which was held last year. The successor topic showcases a much wider approach about the rigging, slings, and application of hardware that benefitted the 44 participants under the guidance of Kito Crosby’s product trainer, Mr. Clemente Ray Dorosan.
ACEL’s Chairman of the Committee on PhilConstruct, Mr. Arlan P. Vergara, in his welcoming remarks gave the seminar attendees a glimpse into the covered topics and how these industry-relevant programs are designed to equip each participant to become more capable and gain necessary competencies in their respective fields.
Engr. Efrain Kenneth Perez, Assistant Manager, Machine Application and Site Performance of Monark Equipment Corp., headed the Fundamentals to Equipment Maintenance Management Seminar. highlighting the different considerations of robust equipment management weighing in all maintenance strategies and choosing the best repair option.
Paul Nikko Sayson, Consultant, TRAINNOVA Training and OD Consultancy, discussed the key leadership concepts, principles, styles, and required leadership competencies to be effective as a supervisor.
All the ACEL TechnoForum Seminars concluded with a successful session, ensuring all of the attendees learned from the discussed topics and forged new learnings and innovative practices brought by the resource speakers. Overall, the three (3) learning sessions were attended by a total of 101 construction professionals.
The event, co-presented by ACEL and CMDF, highlighting the association’s commitment to regularly hold technical seminars and workshops headed by respected and experienced practitioners on key construction-related topics.
