BGC Taguig, Philippines—The Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), Inc., gathered at the Grand Hyatt BGC for the GREASE: LIVE! The ACEL 2024 Christmas Party. Held last December 18, this annual get-together of the members also featured the induction of the 2025 ACEL Board of Directors, including the proclamation of the association’s first female president, Ms. Abigal S. Mancilla.
The Annual Christmas Party began with a call to order and welcoming remarks from the association’s outgoing president, Engr. Jonathan R. Perez where he acknowledged the members who attended the event and the sponsors for the whole year.
The evening included some games such as rock, paper, scissors, and name that tune together with some minor raffle draws, where winners received Premium Breads, Aquaflasks (18 oz), Gun Massagers, and Handheld Fans.
These showcased how the association was generous to everyone that night, even with the minor prizes, all of which were high value.
The event also serves as a birthday bash for the association’s Co-Chair of the Committee on Fellowship-Golf, Mr. Noel Flores, where the outgoing President, Engr. Jonathan Perez and the Chairman of the Committee on PhilConstruct,
Mr. Arlan Vergara, headed the birthday greeting.
Amidst the celebration, the association also inducted its two new members: Zoomlion Heavy Industry Phils., Inc., and Xiangxin Construction Corporation.
Beyond the excitement of the Christmas Party, the event also highlighted the recognition of the Outgoing President, Engr. Jonathan R. Perez and a Memory Lane played, featuring the accomplishments of the association under his two-year term.
Additionally, Perez took the stage for his last President’s Time to highlight the achievements of the association from the last quarter of the year, starting with the 2024 ACEL Presidents’ Cup and the recently concluded ACEL TechnoForum Seminars, where all four learning sessions got full-house attendees.
Moving on, the much-awaited induction of the 2025 ACEL Board of Directors happened.

Lastly, the event also welcomed the incoming president, Ms. Abigail S. Mancilla, who took the stage for her acceptance speech as the association’s 37th President.
As every GMM’s customary, different high-valued prizes were given away to the remaining attendees who were not yet called from the raffle earlier, ensuring all of the attendees would go home with a prize, starting from sandwich makers, smartphones, and 30’’, 32’’, 40’’, and 55’’ SMART TVs, which serve as the major prizes.
In general, this Christmas Party proved to be exciting and engaging – definitely, one for the books, as the attendees gave it positive feedback from the venue, raffle prizes, and overall flow, making it a successful one.
